Mashable has a article which is based on a rumor that google is about to acquire Feedburner. Their source is the vecosys blog which is run by Sam Sethi.
I have just heard from a VERY trusted source that Google is buying Feedburner in order to get into the rapidly evolving RSS Ad market. The delay in announcing the deal, I am told is solely due to the delay in closing out the DoubleClick deal.
This should be really interesting since the one thing lacking in Google analytics is a way to track Rss Feed readers. Meanwhile the Google analytics blog has just annouced that they have rolled out the newly designed interface for everyone. I would really love to see both my Feedburner and Google analytics stats on the same page. I have stopped using other Statistics since the google redesigned the analytics interface.
